Little Governors’ Camp

Little Governors’ Camp is the more exclusive sibling of the legendary Governors’ Camp, tucked away on the far side of a bend in the Mara River. Guests arrive by a short boat ride across the river — a journey that immediately sets the tone for a secluded bush experience.

With just 17 luxury tents nestled under a canopy of riverine forest, the camp overlooks a private waterhole that attracts hippos, elephants, and buffalo throughout the day. Each tent features en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers, and verandas perfect for watching wildlife from bed.

The camp sits in one of the Mara’s prime big cat territories. Leopards are frequently spotted in the surrounding forest, while the open plains nearby host resident lion prides and cheetah. Balloon safaris and Maasai village visits can be arranged.
