Sala’s Camp is hidden in the remote southern reaches of the Masai Mara, close to the Sand River and the Tanzanian border. Named after a Maasai girl, this intimate camp of just 7 luxury tents offers a wild and secluded experience far from the busier northern areas of the reserve.
Each tent is shaded by ancient riverine trees and features a private deck, en-suite bathroom with copper tub, and outdoor shower. The camp’s open-air lounge and dining area sit on a raised platform overlooking a natural spring where wildlife gathers throughout the day.
The camp’s remote location means game drives are virtually private, with exceptional sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah, and wild dog. During the migration, this area sees the first herds arriving from the Serengeti. Night drives, walking safaris, and star-gazing sessions are highlights of any stay.
