Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp is tucked deep within the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, surrounded by ancient trees and the calls of 350+ bird species. The camp is one of the closest accommodations to gorilla trekking starting points, minimising morning travel time.
The 8 luxury tents are set on raised wooden platforms connected by a network of forest walkways. Each tent features en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, comfortable beds with quality linens, and a private veranda overlooking the forest canopy.
The camp is visited by habituated gorilla families — gorillas occasionally wander right through camp. Activities include gorilla trekking (permits arranged separately), forest walks, bird watching, and community visits to Batwa pygmy settlements.
