Satao Elerai Camp sits on the Elerai Conservancy, a 5,000-acre community-managed area between Amboseli National Park and the Tanzanian border near Kilimanjaro. The camp occupies an elevated ridge offering sweeping 180-degree views of Kilimanjaro, the Amboseli basin, and the Chyulu Hills.
The 12 luxury safari tents are built on raised wooden platforms, each with canvas walls, en-suite bathrooms with eco-flush toilets and solar-heated showers, and private verandas. The tents are designed to maximise views while minimising environmental impact.
The camp’s location on a conservancy rather than inside the national park allows guests to enjoy walking safaris with armed rangers, night game drives, and visits to the nearby Maasai community. Game drives into Amboseli National Park are also available for the classic elephant-Kilimanjaro experience.
