The 42 rooms are built on multiple levels, with viewing balconies and ground-level hides for close-up wildlife photography. A buzzer system alerts guests when rare animals appear at the waterhole during the night.
At 2,194 metres altitude, the lodge enjoys cool, crisp air and stunning views of the Mount Kenya peaks. The surrounding forest is home to elephants, buffalo, giant forest hog, bongo, and an array of primates and birds.
