Mahali Mzuri, meaning “beautiful place” in Swahili, is Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Limited Edition safari camp in the heart of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy. With just 12 luxury tented suites, the camp offers an intimate and exclusive safari experience in one of the richest wildlife areas of the greater Mara ecosystem.
Each tent is a masterpiece of contemporary African design, with floor-to-ceiling windows, king-size beds, copper bathtubs, and private decks overlooking the plains. The main lodge features an infinity pool that seems to merge with the savannah, a spa, and a gourmet restaurant serving fresh cuisine with produce from local Maasai communities.
The conservancy’s limited bed count means game drives encounter very few other vehicles, creating a sense of wilderness that is increasingly rare in East Africa. Big cat sightings are exceptional, and during the Great Migration the conservancy sees massive herds crossing through.
