Buhoma Lodge is situated at the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest near the Buhoma entrance gate, the park’s most popular gorilla trekking starting point. The lodge offers comfortable accommodation surrounded by tropical gardens and forest.
The 10 bandas (cottages) are built from local materials with thatched roofs, en-suite bathrooms with hot water, and private verandas overlooking the forest. The main lodge has a restaurant serving Ugandan and international dishes, a bar, and a cosy lounge with fireplace.
The lodge’s prime location means guests can walk to the gorilla trekking briefing point. Other activities include Batwa cultural experiences, forest nature walks, bird watching, and community visits.
