Nyungwe Forest Lodge is situated in a tea plantation on the edge of Nyungwe closed canopy rainforest, a habitat for 13 primate species including chimpanzees. The lodge was designed to blend harmoniously with its natural surroundings.
Accommodation includes 15 king-bed luxury rooms (maximum 2 adults), 7 twin-bed luxury rooms (maximum 2 adults), and 2 king-bed suites each connecting to a twin room. All rooms are forest-facing with fireplaces, air conditioning, private mini-bars, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryers, electronic safes, international adapters, private decks, en-suite bathrooms with indoor showers, telephones, flat LCD screens with satellite channels, and wireless internet.
Activities include Kamiranzovu Swamp and Waterfall walks, guided forest trails of 1 to 7 hours, birdwatching expeditions, and cultural area walks with lodge guides. The lodge also offers a swimming pool and spa services.
